2015 20th Annual Studio Open House

This year I participated in the 2015 20th Annual Studio Open House held at Racine Business Center in Racine, WI. My studio, Estudio Aurora, is located here at suite #2574. There was a great turn out. Please read the following regarding the results from the open house released today 12/7/15:

"....I’m sure you could tell we had record numbers at Saturday’s Open House. The unofficial tally for guests is over 1,100! The parking lot was packed three deep and folks were parking on Washington Ave. There were greeters at both the 1515 and 1405 entrance keeping track of those going up the elevators, but plenty of people came in the back entrances or up the stairs wells who were not being tallied. I’d call it a smashing success!....."

I spoke to many people interested in my work and or potential business collaborations. I love that friends came by to visit. I had a few photo sessions. Made a few bucks. Pop Up: North Pole Photography Sessions

I'll be photographing Santa & kids at the Rhode Theater in Kenosha, WI till December 23rd. So far it's been an interesting experience. I didn't grow up worshiping Santa so I'm learning the experience with these kids. What I do know is that this Santa is very much a jolly fellow.

Sundays and Wednesdays from 11/29/15 to 12/23/15:
Sundays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Wednesdays, 4 - 7 p.m.
Photo prints upon request. Suggested donation $5.

Birth of Photo Trax

I'd like to show some of my work here on my Photo Trax blog. I'll be able to further describe why I took pictures, what I like, what the photography market looks like, other photographers work. Mainly about me.
I've created a smugmug business account. My company, Estudio Aurora specializes in Fine Art & Multimedia. Estudio Aurora is located in Racine, WI at the Racine Business Center. Among fellow artists it's known as 16th ST studios.

Photography is one facet of Estudio Aurora. It's also my exploration tool. The model of camera I've chosen to work with is the Pentax K7. I'll be posting about my photography  methodology here. Sometimes i'll take a picture of a subject simply due to the light play on the object. Lighting is one of the most important characteristics of a photograph next to composition in my own work.
